Call For Nominations
2011 Preservation Merit Awards


The Heritage Society of Austin invites nominations for the 2011 Preservation Merit Awards, presented annually to honor individuals and institutions for their visionary approach to preservation and commitment to maintaining Austin's architectural and cultural heritage. Nominations of recent projects are being accepted until August 15, 2011 in the following categories:

Individual or Organization Awards: Craftsman, Public Service, and Education.

Building Awards:
Restoration, Preservation, Adaptive Use, and Stabilization.

Buildings nominations are encouraged to include a completed Building Documentation and Nomination Form. However, if the nominator does not have the information to complete the form, the selection committee encourages suggestions of worthy properties to be researched. Individual or Organization Awards should be submitted in essay form, not to exceed two typewritten double-spaced pages. Documentation Form and Awards Criteria can be found at links below.
